This Cat Kept Coming To A Police Department, So The Cops Built Their New Master A Cozy Condo

For the last four years or so, Boston Police Department’s SWAT team has had an unofficial furry mascot – a stray calico feline who arrived at their headquarters one day and never left. Naturally, they named the kitty SWAT cat.

“[We] have tried numerous tactics over the years to convince her to come in from the elements but she is set in her ways,” a department spokesperson commented online.

Nothing seemed to be working, and so, they began to build her her little houses to accommodate her outdoor lifestyle. Finally, she got a condo that more or less matched the place she holds in the police officers’ hearts.

“Officer Jamie Pietroski, a 15-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, stayed late after work for several nights painstakingly preparing Swat Cat’s new home,” wrote the department. “The condo features a spacious studio interior layout, a large deck for outdoor dining and glass sliding doors offering panoramic city views.”

They went on to add: “Swat Cat moved right in and looks very happy with her new custom kitty accommodations.”
